The Dark Knight

The Dark Knight makes his return to the silver screen after a 3 year hiatus. Just when you think that Batman Begins was Batman at the top of his game, the Dark Knight manages to top it. With superb acting from all the cast members, most notably Christian Bale and the late Heath Ledger, the true essence of the Batman comics is captured in this film.

The Dark Knight picks up after the events of Batman Begins. Gotham is a relatively safer place thanks to the Caped Crusader cleaning up the streets. The denizens of the criminal underworld cannot stand this and thus unleash the mad dog known as the Joker. From this point forward, Gotham is thrown into a tailspin of chaos and fear. It's up to Batman to protect Gotham and put things back in order.

The 2008 Summer may be the best summer for pictures yet. With blockbuster hits such as Iron Man and the Incredible Hulk, The Dark Knight is a welcome addition and a fresh breath of air for an ailing movie industry.
